What ages can go to this camp? This camp is appropriate for middle school and high school wrestlers with at least two years experience. Exceptions are commonly made on a case by case basis. This camp is over the heads of all but national level elementary wrestlers I receive many requests to allow elementary school wrestlers to attend the Choose Top Leg Camp. I have approved every request I receive because I don’t feel comfortable judging a youth wrestlers expertise level via e-mail or over the phone. But here is my standard response:
Thank you for your interest in the Choose Top Leg Camp and your interest in improving your youth wrestler’s technique. I will allow your wrestler to attend the camp, but there are a few things that you need to know. The camp is designed for middle school and high school students with two or more years experience for the following reasons: Youth wrestlers have attended this camp in the past and responded with great feedback, but don’t expect your wrestler to get as much out of this camp as the older wrestlers. Additionally, I can’t guarantee a partner for your wrestler but the same refund policy will apply due to the limited space in the camp. Can Coaches Observe? Yes. Can I organize a Choose Top Leg Camp at my school as a fundraiser? No. Do you sell T-shirts? Yes. Right now we only offer Choose Top T-Shirts Do you sell DVDs? Not Yet. Are there any additional fees for hosting the camp? No. Do you provide lunch? No. What should I bring? Workout clothes and wrestling shoes. Bring plenty to drink access to water is different from place to place. Bring something to eat if there is a break. Why limit the camp to 40 wrestlers? Everyone gets some attention. Is this an overnight camp? No. We do not provide overnight accommodations or supervision. If you need help finding a nearby hotel please contact us. Are the camps insured? Yes. All camps are insured so membership to USA Wrestling or a similar organization is encouraged but NOT required. Can I registers for the Complete Series without deciding which camps to attend yet? No. You must list the camps you are going to attend when you register so any particular camp is not overbooked. But you can switch camps with prior approval as long as there is availability. |
